The Inspiration
‘Anna’
Anna May, Anne, or as many called her ‘Nanny’ was a woman who greatly shaped me, supported me, and inspired me. Nanny could always be found knitting - whether it was dish cloths, blankets or sweaters. She attempted a multitude of times to teach me but I just couldn’t pick it up. Upon her passing we came across mountains of yarn, knitting needles, and crochet hooks. With the help of my Aunt I tried my hand at crocheting and well the rest is history. This new found hobby has made me feel closer to her but also has eased my daily anxiety. ‘Anna Mae’ is a way for me to share everything good about my grandma, and showcase a modern take on some classics my Nanny made.
