The smell of coffee beans awakens my nose, as my eyelids flutter at the sight of sunlight, I roll across the large king bed and open the curtains to a large mountain view. Another work day has come, but when you love what you do is it really work? It’s another sunny day and the rugrats are running around like fully charged wind-up toys. They won’t be this little long, so I take a breath and just soak in the chaotic moment. Today’s office will be a cute café in Kits, I love going into the city but I love that each day I can pick a new place to inspire me.

Just as quick as I drank my tea the morning is over and it’s time to hit my favourite circuit class. Every day includes some ‘me’ time whether it’s a workout, hike, or relaxing with a book or podcast. The evening has now approached, the hubby has picked up the kids, and today is date night. Tonight we are doing a cooking class! Every two weeks we make time for us, doing something together without the kids. He makes me a better person. He clearly communicates with me and vocalizes his needs instead of us both guessing, he understands we both aren’t perfect, and is always wanting to work it out when things get hard. He supports me, listens to me, and all around is my best friend. I love doing life with him by my side. Now the day is over and before I close my eyes I smile and reflect on the little happy moments that made up the day.
